Florida's family planning and related preventive health services are available in all 67 counties through the local county health departments or contracted agencies.

Family planning services are provided on a voluntary basis in a confidential manner. Culturally sensitive information and the value of planning your pregnancies are available in order to make an informed decision regarding the use of birth control methods.

Available Services

Services are provided on a sliding fee scale, based on family household income and size.

Individuals have access to FDA-approved birth control methods and supplies. Abstinence counseling, information, and education is available to all who want and are in need of services.

Services available include pregnancy testing and counseling, physical examinations, screening for hypertension, breast and cervical cancer, and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV counseling and testing.

We also provide counseling and education for health promotion and disease prevention. Follow-up and referral services are offered based on the individual's history and need for medical and/or social services.
