GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED:

Changes to the requirements of the FRAME Program. These rules will amend the adopted rules establishing the requirements for the Florida Reimbursement Assistance for Medical Education (FRAME) Program, consistent with changes to statute pursuant to Chapter 2024-15, Laws of Florida (Senate Bill No. 7016. The function of the program is to make payments that offset loans and educational expenses incurred by students for studies leading to a medical or nursing degree, medical or nursing licensure, or advanced practice registered nurse licensure or physician assistant licensure.

Established in section 381.4018, Florida Statutes, the Physician Workforce Advisory Council advises the State Surgeon General and the Florida Department of Health on matters concerning the physician workforce needs in Florida. The Council’s Strategic Planning Subcommittee will meet to discuss the development of a strategic plan for the physician workforce in Florida.
