Important Considerations

Florida has a very broad public records law. Most written communications to or from state officials regarding state business are public records available to the public and media upon request, per Chapter 119.071 Florida Statutes. Therefore, your communications may be subject to public disclosure. If you are exempt, please provide a written request according to the above statute.


Once you receive your test kit, use it as soon as you can. We suggest making sure you will be able to mail the kit back close to 48 hours after starting it. Postpone starting a test if you will not be able to mail it out the day it will be completed. Any test kits not returned within three months of receipt will not be analyzed.

Test Kit Terms

These test kits are provided for radon measurements in residential buildings in Florida only and are not to be used as part of any testing required by 404.056(4), Florida Statutes, i.e. any testing required in a school, day care, assisted living facility, nursing home, or other 24-hour care facility.
