At-Risk Afterschool (AMP)

Florida Department of Health's Bureau of Child Care Food Programs (CCFP) is requesting that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approve waiver(s) to provide non-congregate meal service in the at-risk afterschool (AMP) component of CCFP when congregate meal service operations are limited due to natural disasters, unscheduled major building repairs, court orders relating to school safety or other issues, labor management disputes, or, when approved by the state agency for a similar cause:

Parent/Guardian Meal Pick-upAllows sites that are approved for non-congregate meal service to distribute meals to a parent or guardian to take home to their eligible child(ren).

Waivers remain in effect through the expiration date. CCFP will only approve the use of a waiver due to the unanticipated causes listed above.

Florida Department of Health's Bureau of Child Care Food Programs  is requesting that USDA approve waiver(s) to provide non-congregate meal service in the CCFP when congregate meal service operations are limited due to natural disasters.

Monitoring Requirements for Sponsoring OrganizationsAllow all sponsoring organizations the option to waive pre-approval visits for the next 60 days, postpone the required 4-week review for new facilities for the next 60 days, and allow for more than 6-months to elapse between reviews of existing facilities for the next 60 days. Waive the requirement for on-site reviews and allow for desk reviews of the facilities claim paperwork for the next 60 days.Approved10/25/2411/8/24
Program Payment ProceduresRequest on behalf of sponsoring organizations to waive the requirements to distribute reimbursement to sponsored facilities within 5 days of receipt of the monthly reimbursement.
