Policy Statement
The Department of Health assures to each applicant or employee an equal employment opportunity without regard to a person's age, race, color, sex, religious creed, national origin, political opinions or affiliations, marital status or disability except as provided by law or when such requirement constitutes a bona fide occupational qualification necessary to perform the tasks associated with the position. No person shall be retaliated against, harassed, intimidated, threatened, coerced or discriminated against for making a charge, testifying, assisting or participating in any manner in an investigation, proceeding or hearing, or for opposing alleged unlawful discriminatory practices prohibited by this policy or related to state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
