Florida Department of Health Appoints 29 to Onsite Sewage Advisory Panel and Committees

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH APPOINTS 29 TO ONSITE SEWAGE ADVISORY PANEL AND COMMITTEES

Tallahassee, Fla.—The Florida Department of Health announced today 29 recent appointments to the Onsite Sewage Advisory Panel and Committees. The panel and committees received the following appointments respectively; four appointments to the Onsite Sewage Research Review and Advisory Committee, four appointments to the Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal System Variance Review and Advisory Committee and 21 appointments to the Onsite Sewage Technical and Advisory Review Panel.

The Onsite Sewage Research Review and Advisory Committee advises the department on direction for new research, reviews and ranks proposals for research contracts and reviews draft research reports.

Mark Tumeo, Tumeo Consulting, is appointed as the primary professional engineer registered in Florida and has experience in onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems. His term is through Jan. 31, 2019.

Clay Tappan, CDM Smith, is appointed as the alternate professional engineer registered in Florida and has experience in onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems. His term is through Jan. 31, 2019.

Eric Rollings, U Own Real Estate, is appointed as the primary representative from the real estate profession. His term is through Jan. 31, 2019.

Thomas Baker, The Keyes Company, is appointed as the alternate representative from the real estate profession. His term is through Jan. 31, 2019.

The Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal System Variance Review and Advisory Committee advises the Department on applications for variance from the requirements in Section 381.0065, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 64E-6, Florida Administrative Code.

Britt Watson, Watson-Britt Engineering LLC, was appointed as the primary representative from the engineering profession recommended by the Florida Engineering Society. His term is through Dec. 31, 2018

Martin Guffey, Martin Septic Service, was appointed as an alternate representative from the septic tank industry recommended by the Florida Onsite Wastewater Association. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Greg Brown, Department of Environmental Protection, was appointed as an alternate representative from the Department of Environmental Protection. His term is through Dec. 31, 2018.

Maurice Barker, Department of Environmental Protection, was reappointed as the primary representative from the Department of Environmental Protection. His term is through Dec. 31, 2018.

The Onsite Sewage Technical and Advisory Review Panel provides reviews of draft language for standards for onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems, makes language recommendations and recommendations regarding rule adoption.

Robert Baker, Baker Septic Installations, Inc., is reappointed as the primary representative of the septic tank industry recommended by the Florida Onsite Wastewater Association, and is also a manufacturer of onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Ron Davenport, Infiltrator Systems, Inc. is reappointed as an alternate representative of the septic tank industry recommended by the Florida Onsite Wastewater Association, and is also a manufacturer of onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Glenn Bryant, Florida Department of Health in Citrus County, is reappointed as the primary representative from a county health department who has experience permitting and inspecting the installation of onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems in this state. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Johanna Whelan, Florida Department of Health in Lee County, is reappointed as an alternate representative from a county health department who has experience permitting and inspecting the installation of onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems in this state. Her term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Sonia Cruz, Florida Environmental Health Association, is reappointed as the primary representative from the environmental health profession who is recommended by the Florida Environmental Health Association and who is not employed by a county health department. Her term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Mary Howard, is reappointed as an alternate representative from the environmental health profession who is recommended by the Florida Environmental Health Association and who is not employed by a county health department. Her term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Scott Franz, Central Florida Soil Solutions, Inc., is reappointed as the primary soil scientist. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Oren Reedy, O.C. Reedy Associates, Inc., is reappointed as an alternate soil scientist. His term is through Jan. 21, 2018.

Joseph Sullivan, United States Department of Transportation, is appointed as an alternate soil scientist. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Scott Johnson, PE, S. Johnson Consultants, Inc., is reappointed as the primary professional engineer registered in this state who is recommended by the Florida Engineering Society and who has work experience in onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Russ Melling is reappointed as the primary consumer representative with a science background. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Robert Washam, ISN Corporation, is appointed at an alternate consumer representative with a science background. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Ken Odom, Homeowners Assurance, Inc., is reappointed as the primary representative from the home-building industry recommended by the Florida Home Builders Association. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Roy Pence is reappointed as the primary representative from the home-building industry recommended by the Florida Home Builders Association, and who is a developer in this state who develops lots using onsite sewage treatment and disposal systems. His term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Pam Tucker, Greater Orlando Realty USA, Inc., is reappointed as the primary representative from the real estate industry who is recommended by the Florida Association of Realtors. Her term is through Dec. 31, 2017.

Julie Bortles, Orange County Environmental Division, is appointed as the primary representative from local government who is knowledgeable about domestic wastewater treatment and who is recommended by the Florida Association of Counties and the Florida League of Cities. Her term is through Jan. 21, 2018.

Victor Godlewski Jr. PE, is appointed as an alternate representative from local government who is knowledgeable about domestic wastewater treatment and who is recommended by the Florida Association of Counties and the Florida League of Cities. His term is through Jan. 21, 2018.
