Tallahassee, Fla.—Today, Florida Department of Health offices statewide participated in the 8th Annual National Dress in Blue Day to raise awareness for colorectal cancer. State Surgeon General and Secretary of Health Dr. John Armstrong joined staff at the Department of Health in Marion County to show their blue. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer related deaths among men and women in Florida, yet it can be prevented or detected at an early stage through regular screening.
