STATE SURGEON GENERAL APPOINTS FOUR TO ADVISORY BOARDS AND COUNCILS

Tallahassee, Fla.—Today, State Surgeon General and Secretary Dr. Celeste Philip, announced four appointments to three boards and councils. The appointments are as follows.
Alzheimer’s Disease Research Grant Advisory Board:
Dr. Uma Suryadevara, University of Florida, is appointed as a geriatric psychiatrist for a term through May 27, 2020.
Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council:
Dr. Nicolas Namias, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is appointed as a licensed physician who is a medical director or whose practice is closely related to EMS for a term through May 16, 2020.
Institutional Review Board:
Julie Moore, University of South Florida, is appointed as a member whose primary concerns are in scientific areas and not affiliated with the department for a term through May 26, 2020.
Katisa Donaldson-Fountain, Florida A&M University, is appointed as a member whose primary concerns are in non-scientific areas and not affiliated with the department for a term through May 26, 2020.
