Tallahassee, Fla.—The Florida Department of Health invites you to the 2017 Zika Research Grant Symposium Oct. 9 at 9 a.m. to highlight advances in Zika research through $25 million in funding made available by Governor Rick Scott last fall. This free event is open to anyone interested in how Florida is improving the landscape of Zika research.
Presentations will feature researchers from H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida State University, University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, University of Florida, and University of Miami. State Surgeon General Dr. Celeste Philip will provide opening remarks. The symposium will be moderated by Dr. Danny Armstrong, Chair of the Biomedical Research Advisory Council.
