The Pediatric HIV/AIDS Program provides services to babies, children, teens and youth less than 21 years old who have been exposed to or diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.
Through the CMS Plan, eligible children can receive a variety of services to help promote and improve healthy lifestyles and living with HIV/AIDS including the following:
- Medical evaluations and treatment
- Social services
- Care coordination
- Nutritional counseling
Educational programs are available to children and their families to learn more about HIV/AIDS and issues specifically related to children and families whose lives have been touched by HIV/AIDS.
These services are provided by a network of pediatric infectious disease specialists and referral centers, as well as community-based clinics, around the state. The HIV/AIDS Referral Centers are located in Gainesville, Jacksonville, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami, with satellite clinics at ten additional locations throughout Florida.
