The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) envisions wellness for people living with mood disorders. DBSA offers peer-based, wellness-oriented support and services as well as online resources for individuals with mood disorders and their families. As independent affiliates of DBSA in their communities, DBSA chapters offer peer-run support groups across the nation.
The Florida Department of Education hosts a webpage of mental health resources to aid students and families in finding local, state, and national mental health resources. The webpage lists resources by age group, including early learning resources, K-12 resources, and the Florida College System resources to assist individuals throughout the life course.
The Florida Department of Health houses a webpage of information to support the mental and emotional health needs of children and families before, during, and after a disaster. These resources may be helpful to families, community planners and childcare partners, or healthcare system partners.
The Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition (FSPC) is dedicated to increasing awareness and encouraging the prevention of suicide through legislative advocacy, statewide education, and collaboration. The coalition website offers information on suicide prevention and ways to become involved in advocacy.
Mental Health America (MHA) works to address the needs of those living with mental illness and to promote the overall mental health of all. The website has resources on recovery and support, including webinars, blogs, and podcasts, specifically for those who live with mental illness as well as their family and caregivers.

The Multiagency Network for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities (SEDNET) projects serve as a collaborative resource for school districts, agencies, and families working to promote positive educational and community-based outcomes for children with emotional and behavioral disabilities. The website offers a resource guide for educators, students and families, and systems of care which house information and support on several topics such as youth mental health aid, trauma informed care, and academic support.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) provides advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives. NAMI offers education and outreach, advocacy, a NAMI Helpline, support groups, online discussion groups, and an online video and resource library. NAMI Connection is a weekly recovery support group for people living with mental illness in which individuals learn from each other’s experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding. Through NAMI Connection, you can locate the nearest program by state or city.
National Federation of Families is focused on the issues of children and youth with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs and substance use challenges and their families. The organization offers information and advocacy as well as a resource guide organized by topic for individuals, families, providers, and community organizations. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is committed to improving crisis services and advancing suicide prevention by empowering individuals, advancing professional best practices, and building awareness. The lifeline offers a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States.
