Health Care Innovation Council

Health Care Innovation Council and Loan Program

On March 21, 2024, Governor DeSantis Signed Senate Bill 7018 into law establishing the Health Care Innovation Program, under section 381.4015, Florida Statutes, which is dedicated to advancing the quality and delivery of health care and providing a revolving loan fund to support the implementation of solutions.

The program, supported by the Health Care Innovation Council, seeks to harness the expertise of health care professionals, entrepreneurs, and technology experts to identify and implement cutting-edge solutions that address current and emerging challenges in the health care system. By focusing on innovative technologies, workforce pathways, and service delivery models, the program aims to improve patient outcomes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs across Florida's health care landscape.

The Health Care Innovation Council is composed of diverse professionals appointed to explore and promote best practices in health care. The council will convene regularly to discuss and evaluate new technologies and strategies that can be scaled to benefit all Floridians.
