The Department’s Bureau of Emergency Medical Oversight (Bureau) is currently well positioned to strengthen the stakeholder relationships needed to combat opioid overdoses. There are several existing councils and workgroups the Bureau works with to address a broad spectrum of public health issues. An effective and efficient response necessitates that agencies and organizations are unified in their efforts and understanding of the issues to develop targeted and coordinated responses.
